Avoid avoid avoid! Way too expensive. Terrible attention to detail that messed up two years worth of books. Proprietary software so it's a huge pain moving to another provider. I love supporting YC companies, but wish we never made the mistake of going with inDinero.
Too expensive for the value they bring
Been handed at least 5 managers of my account, had the ball dropped on numerous occasions. Would not recommend.
Always at least 1 week behind in book keeping, no ability to generate reports, and poor transaction classification. For $500/month we are probably going to just switch back to quickbooks and doing it ourselves and simply hiring a CPA at the end of the year for taxes.
I really wanted to love InDinero, but after using them for the last 6 months the level of incompetence has been staggering. Extremely large transactions were left off our our P&L until I would bring up the issue. I consistently needed to remind them to make an updates that would seem obvious if someone took 2 seconds to review the financials at a high level. Because the web app is fairly restrictive I could never make the changes myself, which meant we had to rely on them to do so (which is problematic see points above). We've tried both them and Bench and will soon be looking for another alternative any suggestions?
It's frustrating to continually read the bad reviews of Indinero. Even within YC, complaints continually arise about Indinero. It's frustrating that no one has yet built a decent front end on top of a competent team of accounting service providers. What I've seen most companies do is try Indinero, Bench, etc., and then bounce to a "good enough" solution in the form of an individual service provider. The top one here at the moment is Propeller, which appears to be worth a look. Happy to connect you with the folks who use it. https://founderkit.com/biz/propeller-industries
Probably moving away, too expensive and doesn't scale.
Not precise in taking care of the accounting
Always inaccurate information and slow to respond team.
Expensive, unintuitive, and I felt like I was doing most of the work myself. I switched to a CPA instead; I trust that much more for the same price.
Expensive, time-consuming, and inefficient.
Software is pretty but limited; accounting team is JV at best.
We're only using Indinero because it seems like the only option but its expensive and their support is slow.
Difficult onboarding process.
I like inDinero. We had to switch off of them because of specific needs, but I'm missing their reporting and bill paying automation. The price is high, but it's usually worth it.
Truthfully, just getting started with inDinero. Very impressed with the on-boarding process and Dashboard from the start though.
Great product, kinda pricey (but we were told that they're basically how much an independent CPA would cost).
Amazingly useful and helpful. Getting started was perhaps a bit tough but could not live without it.
