Give AI agents access to 3,000+ APIs with managed authentication, prebuilt tools and triggers, and a raw proxy for everything else.
Pipedream is an integration layer aimed at developers building AI agents. Instead of registering OAuth apps, handling token refreshes, and writing custom auth plumbing for every service your agent needs to touch, you point your agent at Pipedream and get managed authentication plus access to more than 10,000 prebuilt tools and triggers across 3,000+ APIs.
The product works in two main modes. First, you can connect any MCP client to Pipedream's remote MCP server, where your agent picks the tool it needs and credentials are already handled — the homepage shows a Slack "send message" tool being called with just a channel and text. Second, you can call any API directly from code through Pipedream's proxy, passing an external user ID and account ID so fresh tokens are injected per user on every request.
Pipedream also offers Conduit (currently in early access), a gateway that lets employees inside a company safely connect their apps to AI agents, with SSO, access policies, per-user permissions, and an audit trail managed in one place.
Security is a stated focus: credentials are encrypted at rest, scoped per project, and never exposed to your application. Any connected account can be revoked with a single API call. The site lists SOC 2 Type 2, GDPR, and HIPAA compliance. Development is free with full access and no credit card; paid plans only kick in when you move to production. The homepage names Alibaba, Apollo.io, Lindy, Perplexity, Relevance AI, Sana, Wordware, and Workday among teams building on the platform.
