Benchmark analytics tool, against which you can compare all others. Pros: it can be configured to do almost anything that you'd need. Cons: it's so feature rich that it's often hard to navigate.

We use Google Analytics' Experiments for testing marketing pages (we built our own system for pages that logged-in users hit). I'm a bit skeptical of javascript test frameworks, but Google Analytics seems to work pretty well without adding extra dependencies (assuming you're using GA for general analytics) and the performance is pretty good. The reporting interface is easy to understand. Experiments are page-based, so that requires deploying a unique page for each variation. In practice, this means you can't do multi-variate testing, and you have to put your display logic in your application. For example: to test a headline you'd have a query string param like '?v=1', '?v=2', '?v=3', etc.. and then change a headline based on the value. So the downside is you generally have to deploy code to start a test, which may not be ideal in high-tempo test environments, but if you're only doing a few tests per month it's a good, easy, free solution.

We use Content Experiments in Google Analytics for A/B testing. Primarily because it means we don't need extra heavy code. It's simple and it just works.

Not very precise, difficult to get bulk access to raw data, creates user privacy concerns.

Not my favorite analytics service, prefer @mixpanel.

Google Analytics is great for being able to learn valuable data about your customers and your websites behavioral flow

Great integration with our stack fo Google data warehouse services

it's useful, however we use other products like mixpanel more frequently.

Yes i will recommend to others, it gives summary of required statistics

I haven't used any others, but GA is obviously full featured and perfectly priced. ;-)

The opportunity to explore reports, it's never ending.

It's the tool I know so far, I'm willing to know more tools.

I like how customizable are the dashboards and how specific you can get with assessing effectiveness of ads.

We use it for goal tracking and conversions.

Easy to use and integrate with your website. It helps us to evaluate on the performance on our website.

The detailed reporting of the dashboard makes it easy to spot tiny details for action and the fact it is connected to the whole G world makes it amazing. Above all it is free :)

ok, there are better ones depending on the platform and vertical.

Well, we use this as a part of Firebase...

Use google analytics more, but also use Azure as well.

Easy set up. Able to use this data to see how much traffic we're getting and where it's coming from. Very easy to understand.

Free and powerful. Great to kickstart an business

Simple, intuitive to use and gives a basic overview what every founder needs to understand the public interest towards their company.

Excellent tool that has been key in improving the website to make advertising more efficient and decrease bounce rates.

Easy to use, advanced features and built by world's finest technology giant.

Yes, with Live tracking stream and user snapshot its pretty good analytics tool.

Like: 1. Easy to use. 2. Very detailed reports. Dislike: Domain verification is not good.

I always worry about sharing all our site's information with Google, and it's harder to set up to get deeper information, but easy for simple Web analytics

Easy to start with, large community and cost effective.

I could use more experience in Analytics. The tool supplies valuable information for our company.

When you're starting off, you'll want to preserve your runway. You can leverage Google Analytics for free to get valuable metrics on your users and find gaps in your engagement. Setup is easy (just some javascript to be included in the pages you want to measure)!

It really gives you a complete view of your business!

I like how compatible this software is with other reporting softwares.

Google Analytics is of course a web tracking tool, but it's also the easiest way to slice through all this data and visualize it.

Free and works seamlessly. Easy to share and give access to everyone included in the company G Suite

Requires some effort to configure the metrics and dimensions you need.

Neutral

learning curve to manage the tools could be long and expensive without expertise or help

Simple to install and lots of features. (I also used to work on the product, so am biased.)

Maintains its own data set that is not always in sync with the real thing. And no way to fix that.

It's the standard at this point.

We're not too deep into analytics yet, I don't think we'll be sticking with GA once we get into it more.

Adwords integration is great.

Given our stage, we don't have a need for a strong analytics solution at this time. GA gets the job done.

I takes crazy amount of time and googling to configure everything, lot's of things are hidden
